Replacing a Spiral Staircase
For many, looking for a house is a lot like looking for a mate - first impressions mean a lot. Homeowners Tea and Kriss did not fall head over heels the first time they laid eyes on their new Capitol Hill home. In fact, it did not even make the short list of considerations. While on a lovely street, it only had 2 bedrooms outdated bathrooms, and a spiral staircase that was both out of place (Victorian row house) and dangerous for a family with two small children. Luckily, they revisited this home and were able to realize it's potential.
And it all started with replacing the spiral staircase.

Replacing the spiral staircase also allowed these homeowners to add a third bedroom upstairs - beauty and home equity! Turns out, it was love after all.
