Saturday, October, 19, 2013 is the 13th annual Renovator's House Tour on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. 100% of the Tour's proceeds go to support The Capitol Hill Cluster School, a DC Public School. Here is your sneak peak inside two wonderful homes on this year's tour.

Ever dream your small home had a basement? These homeowner's did more than dream. With the help of architect Jennifer Fowler, they added both a back addition and dug a basement large enough for a two-bedroom apartment! Take a peak at their wonderful light filled home.

Non-working fireplace? Just add a chalkboard. Creates an excellent place for "to do" lists, score keeping on game night, and sweet notes to the kids.

Opening up space and letting the light in is what this house is all about. Architect Steve Lawlor created a series of wide doorways that connect the common spaces, leading to the crown jewel of this home, the kitchen.
