Slipper Chairs
Whether you are looking for a charming extra seat in your living room, a pair of chairs that don't take up much room, or a bedroom chair scaled small enough to comfortably put on your shoes, look no further than the slipper chair. This chair's small scale makes it a natural for older homes (yes, row houses!) and smaller spaces. Although their scale is small, these chairs are big on style. Actually they come in many styles, from modern to traditional.
Luckily, there are a large number on the market and many are very reasonably priced.
This industrial version from Restoration Hardware is $395.
The Caelie Grey Linen Lounge Chair from Overstock.com is only $205.64
I cannot get the Modesto Chair from Arhaus out of my mind! Sigh...it is $899. What makes this chair so great? The back is actually wide enough so that you can pivot around and still be leaning against the back, almost like it has arms but better. It is truly comfortable! It also comes in 9 scrumptious colors.
World Market has a remarkable knock-off of the Modesto chair. The WM version is called the Quincy Chair and is priced at $179.99. However, I must confess after sitting in both chairs, the width of the back on the Modesto chair does make it quite a bit more comfortable.
Another option from Overstock.com, the Mattie Fiesta Slipper Chair, $188.99. This chair reminds me of one my grandmother had from the 50's! Great, if you are trying to achieve a retro look.
One Kings Lane is selling this gorgeous Ethan Armless Chair for $399. The turned legs and nail head trim make chair look much more expensive than it is.
I love Ballard Designs skirted version, The Marie Tufted slipper Chair, $499-$803, depending on fabric.
Home Decorator's Vincent Slipper Chair comes in 16 different fabrics and is priced at $179.
Crazy about Mad Men? Urban Outfitter's Alfie Chair has a mid-century modern vibe, $278.
A final chair from One King's Lane, $279 - very cool!

These chairs are fairly expensive but they look like they are worth it though. I really love chairs with this design, they can look amazing in any sofa setting.
