Fall Refresh
A lovely man stopped by this morning to see if I needed my windows washed (I love city living). I feel sure he stopped at our house first since the issue was so glaring, he thought he had a good shot at selling his services; and indeed he did.
Of course, as I moved things to better make the windows accessible, I realized how desperately the curtains needed washing ... the moldings needed dusting... and ... Egads! the light fixtures are disgusting!
The bright spot at the end of my housekeeping tunnel is decorating for fall (admittedly, a little behind but getting there).
Here are some of my inspirations.
Here are some of my inspirations.
There are so many great fall decorating ideas out there! Love these book bird houses from HGTV.
Pine cone lamp finials - sometimes it's the little things that make all the difference.
Make these beautiful gourd luminaries. Instructions available here on Martha Stewart's site.
I believe acorn luminaries are in my future. I found this great tutorial on how to turn mason jars into lanterns.
Wouldn't this look great on a foyer table - ready and waiting for trick or treaters.
A easy idea with lots of panache!
Speaking of easy... pick up a few leaves and just add frames.
Love those natural decorations - no $$$
I better get those curtains ironed, moldings dusted... Stay tuned for my fall decor.
